Shang Villa Condominium

On 28th May 2009, I attended an enquiry called by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, at 19th Floor, state Secretariat Building,Shah Alam.

All the JMC members, including the Chairman,Secretary and Treasurer, were invited,but
none,except Yat Mei,were present.

Yat Mei, Muniandy(by invitation of Ministry),Christopher,Lee Hong keat and Chong Chin Meow
were present.

Yat mei claimed that she represent all the office bearers as well as other JMC members not present .

YB Iskandar Chaired the meeting and YB Elizebeth Wong were also present.

The following were points presented by Yat Mei:

1.There were no money in the bank, when the new JMC took over in August 2009;

2.JMC shifted the office from the Shang villa Recreation to the carpark 1 of Block A
because of saving cost;
3.JMC spent Rm 60,000 to install the Access cards system because of providing security
to the properties and residents;
4. The access chip is very cheap and it only costing Rm30.00 per chip;
5.JMC had suspended Mr Christopher because he misbehaved in the second JMC meeting.
Yat Mei gave a VCD(proof of Mr Chritopher's misbehaviou) to YB Iskandar to view during the meeting, but,her request was rejected.
6.Yat Mei gave a report consisting photographs of the missing doors from 16th to 13th floors of Block A.
She accused Ir Chong for the summons issued by Bomba, because there were no doors at the lift
Lobbies of the floor mentioned;
7.Yat Mei mentioned that , residents who did not pay their(up-to-date) maintenance fees were
bar from buying the Access chips;Her statement had caused many officers in the meeting,to voice their objection,because ,according to them, the JMC should not deny anybody's right to enter his/her own property;
8.Yat Mei told the meeting that the country's law allows JMC to cut off the water, but, it was
not implemented because she respect 'human right';Again , some officers mentioned that, by denying someone right to enter his/her property is worst than the water cut;
9.Ir Chong's name was excluded in the notice of the 7th JMC meeting because he was absent
in the 4th ,5th and 6th meetings.


Since Yat Mei has mislead the Ministry to believe that I was wrong in discharging my duties
as the then Chairman of JMC Shang Villa from March 2008 to August 2008. Inorder to refute her false allegation,I have reinstated some of the articles written during the period mentioned.


I am an ex-government servant and currently practising as Engineering Consultant for many
prestigeous projects in the country. There is no reason for me to sabotage the codominium.

Instead of courting danger of fire risk and the further punitive action from Bomba, why the current JMC not taking immediate action to install new door-frames and reinstate back the good bomba doors which were kept by Mr Muniandy at the shed near the Block A TNB substation
The cost for the replacement of the door frames is only a fraction of what had been spent on the door access system.
